HALO Lenawee, raising awareness of the prescription opiate drug abuse epidemic we are experiencing, to reduce the stigma and change the face of addiction. To educate about the dangers of prescription and illegal narcotic use and to support those families affected by drug abuse and addiction.
Through Real People sharing Real Stories and factual data and continuing education, we reduce the stigma attached to addiction and create an open forum for families and professionals to receive valuable insight. We try to facilitate change in the way addiction is viewed and treated, making a difference one step and one life at a time.
We educate to raise awareness and save lives by partnering with Lenawee Community Mental Health, the Recovery Oriented System of Care Group, the legal community, public safety, schools, medical professionals, legislators, and families/friends.
The amazing people who have joined our group have been down the road of addiction with family members or even themselves. Their dedication, passion, drive and support are the backbone of our group. REAL People and REAL stories binds us into a family to help others in the community. Please Come Join Us!!
Halo Lenawee, formerly Adrian Andy's Angels was created in 2013 to form a support group for heroin and opiate addicted loved one's and families. After our son's overdose in our family home, we searched for support in the Lenawee County Area, we found none. So we started a group and found others coming forward that were affected by this disease/epidemic, so HALO Lenawee was formed to help others in need of support.
Meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month in the Adrian High School Library/Media Room starting at 6:00 p.m.
